i agree. this point has been brought up in nearly every pseye/natal comparison. their similarity has been debunked for nearly a year
For reals. When did DEMO SIZE become a valid argument? Why would Sony release a demo that was so unrepresentative of the final product that it wouldn't be comparable to any other game.
This is by far the lamest excuse I've read on N4G.
How did this garbage get approved!?
"However, Burton has not seen a final version of Natal, as Microsoft looks to tweak the device before its ‘November’ launch.
'The software behind Natal stunned me,' added Burton. 'To be able to take effectively a bump-map of a person and turn that into a fully articulated and rigged polygonal skeleton is an incredible feat. We run a mo-cap studio and to get anything resembling mo-cap, live in real-time, from effectively a single camera is nothing short of amazing.'"
YAAAAAAAY, DOUCHBAG!!

having trouble seeing the article, what does it say?
StanLee is correct. Money is made with software and peripherals (and sub fees), not with the sales of the actual consoles.
^^^ lol nice one!
They should make THAT into a PS3 bundle.
i just don't understand why Sony didn't look into the future and see that they would need a steady cash flow to maintain and improve their network.
servers cost MONEY:
"Servers and the like have running costs, and we would face difficulties if our business depended solely on the sell-and-forget model."
They're just NOW doing something about this?
so what would happen if they DID start charging? Essentially, PS3 owners wouldn't have a choice given their investment into their system, their library of games, and their hatred of MS.
Sony would be in a perfect position to start charging more money because the attach rate for whatever system you use is so high.
Besides, Kaz, himself, said that the profits for the consoles come primarily from software and peripherals. This would be a major profit maker for Sony....
I lumped dual sticks in with QTE. If they're different, my bad. But from what I remember, every memorable scene relied on reaction based "dual-sticking" or timed button hitting and that if you didn't get the sequence right, you became depressed.
The only scene that I can remember that didn't do that was maybe the basement file search. Everything else were choices based on your dual stick combo, but were timed, nonetheless, an element of QTE gameplay (the office bug...
Haha, you're like all the red in the face over nothing. I really liked Indigo Prophecy. Have you even played that game? It was pretty much one long QTE. I'm actually hoping it's more like that. Who's to say it will be bad if it's more like a movie? Indigo Prophecy gave me a game that made me care about the characters and the unfolding plot. It was a winning formula that should be fostered more.
Anyway, I'm not going to even acknowledge your little fanboy rant. You're li...
well, i didn't say it was all QTEs. I said it was with the exception of travel time (alla indigo prophecy).
read the whole post next time before you spout your anger.
My jaw dropped. $70.00 a year!!
